We’re looking for a Portfolio Housing Manager to join us. We’re looking for those who can deliver high quality housing management services in line with our service standards to build relationships with residents on your patch, to sustain their tenancies and improve their quality of life.  You’ll achieve high performance outcomes and contribute towards high levels of resident satisfaction.    

We are looking for a motivated housing professional with a background in social housing with a track record of delivering excellent services, who is passionate about working with residents and listening to their voice to deliver successful outcomes.   

This role is a generic Housing Manager, who will have responsibility for income management and rent collection, will deal with complex issues such as antisocial behavior, tenancy sustainment, safeguarding, supporting and engaging residents in the delivery of services.  You will have experience of working collaboratively with key partners and voluntary agencies to promote health and wellbeing.  

 

What we’re looking for:  

  • Experience of managing social housing in either a local authority, registered provider or arm's length management organisation 

  • Experience of presenting cases at County Court for tenancy breaches 

  • Knowledge housing legislation for the management of tenancies 

  • Experience of resident involvement and engagement 

  • Knowledge of welfare benefits, including Universal Credit.  

  • A great communicator that inspires trust and confidence from residents 

  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer services.  

  

It would be advantageous to have a good understanding of shared ownership, staircasing and of property maintenance, repairs, and disrepair matters.  

Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and car are required for mobile working. Please note there will be some evening and occasional weekend working required.  

Sutton Housing Partnership was set up in 2006 to manage council housing stock on behalf of Sutton Council.

We provide day-to-day housing management services to Sutton Council tenants and leaseholders.
